Overview

A private Swirl Evening for a closed group of up to six participants, personally led by Anna Katharina Jens in her London studio.

This format focuses on surface and glaze, allowing your group to engage with the Swirl form in a concentrated, studio setting.

Each participant decorates a small, pre-formed bisque Swirl bowl.

Format

• One session · 2–2.5 hours
• Up to six participants
• Exclusive use of the studio during your session
• No prior clay experience required

The session combines guided instruction with individual exploration of glaze and surface.

Glazing

Participants work with a curated palette of 40+ Stroke & Coat glazes.

We discuss:

• Colour interaction

• Layering and opacity

• How glaze responds to the curve of the form

Finished pieces are glaze-fired and available for collection after firing.

• One small bisque Swirl bowl per participant

• All glaze materials and tools

• Glaze firing

Additional small bisque Swirl bowls may be purchased during the session, subject to availability.

£700 total (up to six participants)
