ALP Studio - Workshops & Courses - Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Workshops

These terms apply to all in-person workshops, Swirl Evenings, online live workshops, digital courses, and templates offered by ALP Studio.

2. Intellectual Property & Licensing

Participation does not grant any licence or commercial rights. Participants may create their own original work inspired by techniques shown, but may not reproduce, market, or sell work under the protected name “Swirl Bowl / Swirl Ball” or create confusingly similar work implying association with ALP Studio without written permission.

3. Use of Name

The term “Swirl Bowl” may be used descriptively during workshops. Use of the name for marketing, sales, or public promotion is not permitted without a separate written licence.

4. Photography & Filming

Photography of personal work is permitted. Continuous filming, recording of demonstrations, live streaming, or screen recording of teaching content is not allowed. Respect the privacy of other participants.

5. Digital Resources & Recordings

Digital resources are included only with the three-session Swirl Work Course. Online workshop recordings may be provided for limited-time personal reference and may not be shared or redistributed.

6. Materials, Glazes & Firing

Workshops use earthenware clay fired to approximately 1,130°C. Glazes used are commercially produced and designated as food safe when fired according to specifications. Finished pieces are intended for decorative or light-use purposes only.

7. Outcomes & Imperfections

Ceramics is a material-led process. Variations, minor cracks, warping, or glaze imperfections may occur and do not constitute faults. Material outcomes do not qualify for refunds.

8. Attendance & Missed Sessions

Full payment is required in advance. Attendance at all sessions is expected. Missed sessions may be rescheduled only if availability allows and are not guaranteed. Missed sessions are non-refundable.

9. Cancellations

Course bookings may be rescheduled once if requested at least 14 days before the start date. One-off workshops require 7 days’ notice. Late cancellations are non-refundable.

10. Health & Safety

Workshops take place in a working studio environment. Participants must follow all instructions and inform ALP Studio of relevant health conditions or sensitivities.

11. Behaviour

Respectful behaviour is expected. ALP Studio reserves the right to refuse participation without refund in cases of unsafe or disruptive conduct.

12. Force Majeure

ALP Studio reserves the right to reschedule sessions due to circumstances beyond reasonable control.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
