The Raspberry Wall Vessel draws its inspiration from Theodor Fontane’s poem Im Garten, a verse that has accompanied me for many years. The line “Die hohen Himbeerwände trennen dich und mich” speaks of distance and beauty, separation and the soft boundaries of nature. Those words once shaped my architectural dissertation, and they continue to echo through my work today.

Here, the idea of a wall becomes something alive, not dividing but growing. The vessel rises and folds like brambles climbing toward the light, each curve shaped by hand in earthenware and finished with layered glazes that shift between soft rose, bronze, and moss green.

The piece embodies what draws me to organic forms: growth, transformation, and the gentle tension between containment and freedom. It is both vessel and sculpture, an ode to the persistence of beauty in nature and memory alike.
