Why your hands matter

Making teaches patience more than perfection.

Hands-on work calms the mind and builds confidence.

What you make becomes part of your home’s beauty.

What you’ll need

Clay, basic hand-building tools, ruler, craft knife, sponge, brush, and access to a local kiln.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a wheel?

No. The Swirl Bowl is slab built.

Is this beginner friendly?

Yes. Clear steps plus printable guides. Just give it a go.

Can I sell bowls I make with the template or course?

No. These tools are for personal use. If you plan to sell, see Professional for licensing.

What paper size do I print?

A4 and US Letter are included. Print at 100% / Actual Size with “fit to page” turned off.

What tools do I need?

Clay, basic hand-building tools, a ruler, craft knife, sponge, and brush. A simple starter list is in the free guide.

What clay should I use?

The clay should have a good elasticity and be rather smooth. Start with a smooth white stone- or earthenware if you are unsure.

Where can I fire my work?

Use a local pottery studio or community kiln. Many offer pay-per-kiln or firing services.

How long will it take?

Plan 60–120 minutes for your first build, plus drying and firing time.

Can I reprint the template?

Yes. Unlimited reprints for your personal use.

Left-handed? Can I flip the swirl?

Yes. Mirror the trace to flip the swirl orientation.

What if my bowl warps or cracks?

Keep slab thickness even, compress joins well, and slow the drying under light plastic. Small test pieces help.

Refunds on digital products?

Digital items are non-refundable, but we’ll help with any access issues.

Can kids use the template?

With close adult supervision and safe tools. Craft knives are sharp.

Can I share the files with a friend?

No. One license per person. If you want to gift it, please buy another copy.

What if I don’t have many tools at home?

You can improvise: a rolling pin, ruler, butter knife, and sponge will get you far.
