*ALP Collectibles* Morris Swirl Bowl - One of a Kind 2025

The Morris Swirl Bowl is a one-of-a-kind piece shaped entirely by hand in earthenware. Inspired by the natural ornament and quiet order of William Morris’s designs, it brings his philosophy of beauty and craftsmanship into three-dimensional form.

Each curve was carved with care, guiding the clay into rhythmic movement while keeping the balance of the original Swirl shape. The antique brass optic glaze enhances the carved lines, catching light in shifting tones of gold, bronze, and moss green. In daylight, it feels almost textile-like, as if woven from clay and light together.

This work holds a special place in my collection. It is both a continuation and an evolution, a meeting of old-world craftsmanship and the expressive freedom of modern studio art. Through countless hours of carving and glazing, the bowl became something more than functional: a sculptural homage to the timeless ideals of handmade beauty.
